Ingredients

For 1 serving

  • Rolled oats30 g
  • Oat bran15 g
  • Reduced-fat milk220 ml
  • Prunes30 g
  • Almonds10 g
  • Cinnamonto taste

Contains: gluten, lactose, nuts,

Method

  1. Cut the prunes into roughly half-centimetre pieces with a knife or kitchen scissors.
  2. Put the oats, bran, prunes and milk into a small pan and bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat.
  3. Lower to medium-low and cook for 5 minutes, stirring often, until thick and creamy; the bran soaks up a lot of liquid, so add a splash of water if needed.
  4. Turn off the heat, stir in the cinnamon and let it rest for a minute to thicken a little more.
  5. Meanwhile, slice the almonds into flakes or chop them roughly; pour the porridge into a bowl and top with the almonds.
