Ingredients

For 1 serving

  • Fresh tuna160 g
  • Sesame seeds10 g
  • Sesame oil2 teaspoons
  • Soy sauce2 teaspoons

Contains: gluten, soy, fish, sesame

Method

  1. Pat the fresh tuna dry with kitchen paper and, if it is a single steak, cut it into blocks about 3 cm thick.
  2. Brush it all over with the soy sauce and roll it in the sesame seeds, pressing so they stick well.
  3. Heat the sesame oil in a non-stick pan over a high heat until very hot, then sear the tuna for 1 minute per side, until the sesame is golden and the outer edge pale while the centre stays pink.
  4. Transfer to a board, cut into cubes with a very sharp knife and serve straight away.
