Ingredients

For 1 serving

  • Apple1
  • Walnuts8 g
  • Raisins8 g
  • Cinnamon1 teaspoon
  • Honey1 teaspoon

Contains: nuts, sulphites,

In season: September – March

Method

  1. Heat a conventional oven to 180 °C.
  2. Meanwhile wash the apple and, with a corer or small knife, remove the core from the top, leaving the bottom 1–2 cm intact so the filling stays in.
  3. Roughly chop the walnuts and mix them in a small bowl with the raisins, cinnamon and honey.
  4. Pack the filling into the cavity, pressing it down, and score the skin all the way round at half height with a small knife so the apple doesn't burst as it bakes.
  5. Put it in a small baking dish with a finger of water in the bottom and bake for about 30 minutes, until soft when pierced with a cocktail stick and the skin is wrinkled; serve warm with its juices.
