- Reduced-fat milk150 ml

In season: September – March
Method
- Preheat a conventional oven to 190 °C and soak the raisins in a small bowl of warm water for 10 minutes. The quantities are for one slice: for an 8-slice strudel, multiply everything by 8.
- Peel and core the apple and cut it into thin slices, about 3 mm.
- Drain the raisins, squeeze them dry and mix them in a bowl with the apple, pine nuts, sugar, breadcrumbs and cinnamon: the breadcrumbs soak up the juice and keep the pastry from going soggy.
- Unroll the puff pastry onto a baking tray on its own baking paper, spread the filling down the middle leaving the edges clear, roll it up and seal the ends firmly with your fingers.
- Cut a few diagonal slashes in the top and bake for 35 minutes, until the pastry is puffed and deep golden.
- Leave it to cool for 5 minutes and cut a slice; serve it warm with the milk.
